Description

Based on the needs generated for Strengthening Laboratory Management towards Accreditation (SLMTA) as well as to fulfill the rapidly growing demand for a well-trained, competent, and motivated laboratory workforce; Research Continuing Professional Development Team is launching the first workshop on Integrated Laboratory Safety and Management. This workshop will be offered to all DDI laboratory personnel.
Objectives:
Laboratory personnel are required to be adequately informed about the physical and health hazards present in their laboratory, the known risks, an what to do if an accident occurs. Every laboratory worker must be trained to know the location and proper use of available personal protective clothing and equipment. It is expected that all participants will be able to practice and implement their new knowledge and skills when they perform their regular laboratory duties.
All participants will receive a copy of the Laboratory Safety Manual prepared via Biomedical Research Department Staff and an attendance 8.5 CME-certificate.
